About .....
Ms. Snell
I am originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. As a child, I received a bilingual education through the French Immersion Program with the Ottawa Board of Education for my elementary and middle school grades. Afterwards, I went to an English high school and received my diploma. Next, I went to Carleton University and graduated from there with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology/Anthropology. Following my graduation from Carleton, I went to the University of Maine and completed my Bachelor of Elementary Education degree. Afterwards, I did my student teaching in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I remained in Halifax after graduating teacher's college and worked as a substitute teacher for Halifax Regional School Board. I left Halifax and moved to North Carolina for a permanent teaching position in Warren County. I spent two years teaching first grade prior to moving to Wake County. I have been spent the last fifteen years in Wake County where I have taught second, third and fourth grades. This will be my eighth year at York Elementary. In addition to being a teacher, I am also a proud parent of a middle-schooler named Kannan who is a York Elementary alumni.
